New Jamzzz

Ok so here are some solid dancefloor jams that are guaranteed to get your party started.

The first one i caught wind of via the Damn Gina crew and Im down for the R&B vibes combined with smooth drug infused lyrics.

Another nice version

The next tune is a certified dancefloor filler from local SF homie Vin Sol forthcoming on Unknown to the Unknown. The blaring repetitive horns and warehouse sound are guaranteed to get a dancefloor moving. Im feel the baby chicken sample too. Take it to the next level with this one.

Im really vibing this new DJ Theory remix of “Flarelight – I believe” Really nice laid back Trap vs Moombah sounds…you know this will pop it off.

One last track. This is Them Jeans latest creation which is a re-visioned edit of Flight Facilities – Clair De Lune featuring the vocals of Christine Hoberg. Although its still a mellow vibed tune, it comes with a bit more than the original. Which is your favorite?

Here is the original as well.

new jamzz

Here are some jamz that I am feeling right now. All of these are on the slow side.
I guess that just the vibe right now.

This one is great for late nights, and long car rides. Feels great with the wind in your hair.

Here is a heater my friend Juli turned me onto. Really nice soundz. I love that piano

This Bago track is great. Love the intro. really minimal, has that old sexy feel to it. Get into it.

Which reminded me how much I love this song by alexander spit. I may have posted this a while back but its just so good.

Mr. Nobody

One of my favorite movies. It never got any press which maybe makes it better, but its a shame more people havent seen it.

skate vidz

As a California native, its pretty much a given that I grew up skating. It was part of my daily life, and it was all I really did for a large part of my life. It provided transportation, friendships, and identity. Eventually music took over, and filled the space where skating once was. I still love watching a great video part though. Here are a couple that have really caught my attention over the past year or so.

This is Walker Ryans part in the Shuffl video. The Shuffle video had some of the local homies from my hometown in it and was super cool to see them put something like this together. Walker rips, and its a good part. more info on that video at http://theshufflvideo.blogspot.com/

I really enjoy Dylan Reiders style. He has a way of keeping it old school while still fresh. He pretty much skates in dress shoes half the time as well. Once of the more interesting parts I have seen in a while.

This one is just really well done. Very well produced and fun skating. I love the water park flashbacks. As my friend Danny Bobbe said in the post I got this from. “Everything abt this…”
Its just all good.

Russ Chimes always delivers with his signature sounds. The video is lovely as well.

and this track is so damn good…
from the local noize makers Whitenoize comes the preview for their upcoming original “Harder”

New Jamzzz

Feelin this right here

and this is hot like fire cheetos as well

and why not one more. This has been in steady rotation for me. Really hoping to see these guys live and in the flesh soon.

weather music

Music and weather, weather and music. They go together like a fine wine and cheese, calvin and hobbes, models and buffets…

Here is some weather music for you to enjoy in the weather of your choice.

Johnny Kotze aka Johnny Neon is out of Cape Town, South Africa. He uses old vintage electronics and synthesizers to create 80′s inspired aestehetics of sunsets, palm trees, night drives and the love lost youth culture. A little time on his soundcloud revelaed a diverse collection of sounds alongisde the catchy single “Hearts.”

I’m loving the reference to Airwolf and Nightrider. Maybe those shows have just finally made their way over to South Africa?

Free download from soundcloud so get it while its hot.

The Dictator

I didn’t watch the Oscars, but I did catch wind of this humorous red carpet happening. I love Sacha Baron Cohen and have enjoyed his work since the original Ali-G days. he comes through again with spot on character acting and pulls it off on the Oscars red carpet.

“As Sudam Hussein once told me, socks are socks” hahaha
I’m excited to see the new film.

Also check out one of my favorite clips from Season 1 of the Ali-G show.
