Bloc Party and other incredible stuff
Ok so this is pretty cool. I mean really cool.
This wednesday, for Obey the Kitty, I will be playing with Kele Okereke of Bloc Party. I would be lying if I said I want ecstatic. Not only do we have such a rad booking for the party, but I am playing with one of the artists who really shifted the direction I was headed in musically, and had a distinct effect on my tastes. I have an old mix which I can remember spending hours matching up a Banquet edit with some other rock track. Trying to loop the intro on a CD player and make it come in just right. Needless to say Im going to have a ton of fun tomorrow night so I would recommend that you share it with me.

Ear Jerker Really caught my attention the last time he played Obey the Kitty. The guy has some really great production skills and DJ’s like a champ.
RSVP on the Facebook event page for guestlist.
“Ear Jerker is a San Francisco based producer with an already staggering amount of original tunes. He started his career with two strong releases on Bad Shoes Records, “Infinitesimal” and “Paradise”. Shortly after, he began self-releasing numerous singles himself through band camp and sound cloud in order to keep up with his ever increasing rate of production. He has been performing regularly around the San Francisco Bay Area and is a founder of “The International” a monthly moombahton/global bass party at Public Works”
Friday night Face Drugs will be rocking the decks of The Parlor for their Rebellion party. We will be joined by Panic City and NTK of I love this Beat. Stoked to be playing alongside such a talented roster. Also added sound and lighting ot really rock the place.
This party is always really high energy and tons of great people so hope to see you there.

OTK with Skeet Skeet
Obey the Kitty this week brings you DJ Skeet Skeet out of Los Angeles. Skeet Skeet first popped onto my radar as a member of the group Schwayze when they dropped with a few summer anthems. He has gone on to tour the world with Katy Perry and rock the Vans Warped Tour among other notable accomplishments. Pretty excited to see this guy in action.

obey the kitty x dim mak
Dim Mak & Vessel invite you to “OBEY THE KITTY”
This weeks obey the kitty brings you a team up with Dim Mak as they will be presenting the night going forward. I’m really proud the night has come this far and am excited to see where we take it from here. This week we are proud to present Autoerotique
Autoerotique stores electro, techno, house, Dutch house, Dutch-colonial house, rave, rock, rave-rock, indie-rock and even ska on speed dial and calls them up frequently. Their effortlessly protean, shape-shifting sound can careen wildly from project to project, so it’s not unexpected to hear them transform from Techno to, say, Norwegian black metal on the same record – thus, earning them the lazily au courant nick name “Autobots”.
RSVP for free entry all night HERE
